Professor Beth Gulley Publishes Poem and More

Beth Gulley, Professor of English, had a busy summer. Gulley published a poem, "The Harpist," in The Thorny Locust, hosted a Writing Retreat that involved faculty, staff and students at the Paola Community Garden, and published an article entitled "Blogging, or How My Students and I Returned to the Joy of Our Writing" in Kansas English.

COMMUNITY INTERACTION

The Mesner Puppet Theater collaborates with JCCC’s Carlsen Center to launch digital videos for children struggling with emotions from COVID-19

TECH UPDATE

Online Mandatory Training for Employees is now available. Adjunct faculty are eligible to receive a stipend if training is completed by the following deadlines: Dec. 1 (fall semester); Feb. 15 (new spring semester hires); June 14 (new summer semester hires)

PROFESSIONAL ENRICHMENT

This year’s KCPDC’s Advanced Elements of Teaching Excellence Academy: Maximizing Blended Potential: Finding Balance with Course Development, presented by Dr. Leslie Umstattd, Director of Digital Learning at Park University will be held virtually from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Sept. 12.
