SPOTLIGHT ON ACHIEVEMENT
Professor Richard Fleming, Game Development, presented on his Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research project at “Designing Effective Teaching,” a part of the prestigious Lilly Conference Series. He studied the effect of requiring students to conduct peer reviews on their classmates’ game prototypes. There is little research on pedagogy in the field of game development, so his study is significant. Professor Fleming is a member of the first cohort of the JCCC SoTL Scholar Academy.
