SPOTLIGHT ON ACHIEVEMENT

Computer Information Systems Associate Professor Perla Weaver served as a National Science Foundation (NSF) peer reviewer. The NSF merit review process provides feedback to NSF program officers, allowing faculty to learn firsthand about the NSF merit review process, foster insight on strengths as well common problems of proposals, increase awareness of relevant field initiatives and collaborations, and network with program officers and faculty from other institutions. As the NSF continues to increase its call for Community College participation, Professor Weaver’s contribution provides valuable Community College perspective to the review panels and the NSF grant process.
